Due to their important potential medicinal value, chemists are pursuing mild and efficient methods to synthesize structurally diverse quinazolinone derivatives. In this paper, a series of isocyano-tethered -aryl quinazolinones were designed and synthesized to conduct electrocatalytic radical cascade cyclization reactions with phosphine oxides by utilizing inexpensive Mn salt as the catalyst. The desired 6-phosphorylated quinoxalino[2,1-]quinazolin-12-ones were obtained in moderate to good yields.

Intriguingly, the vinylene carbonate acts as a carbon monoxide transfer agent to enable the annulation reaction. Moreover, as a versatile synthon, fluoren-9-one can be transformed into a variety of functionalized organic molecules, such as [1,1'-biphenyl]-2-carboxylic acid, 1'H,3'H-spiro[fluorene-9,2'-perimidine] and N-tosylhydrazones.

As an efficient and green synthesis method, the electrocatalysis hydrogen evolution coupling reaction has been widely used by chemists to realize the combining of two nucleophiles. In this work, an alternative method to synthesize 6-phosphorylated phenanthridines has been developed by synergistically utilizing electrocatalysis and Mn catalysis, with moderate to relatively good yields achieved. Mild and oxidant-free conditions make this synthetic method applicable in various settings.

We proposed a novel design route for TFC NF membranes by grafting well-defined zwitterionic copolymers of [2-(methacryloyloxy)ethyl]dimethyl-(3-sulfopropyl)ammonium hydroxide (SBMA) and 2-aminoethyl methacrylate hydrochloride (AEMA) on the polyamide surfaces via an in situ surface chemical modification process. The successful grafting of a zwitterionic copolymer imparted the modified NF membranes with better surface hydrophilicity, a larger actual surface area (i.

Novel approaches are required to overcome the challenges associated with conventional microRNA (miRNA) detection methods and realize the early diagnosis of diseases. This work describes a novel label-free surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) method for the detection of the miRNA biomarkers for pneumoconiosis on a three-dimensional Au-coated ZnO nanorod array (Au-ZnO NRA). The Au-ZnO NRA substrate, which was fabricated via a modified seeding method combined with ion sputtering, provided a high enhancement factor and good spatial uniformity of the signal.

However, low chemical yield hinders their upscale production for practical use. Meanwhile, the labile nature of halide-based perovskite poses a major challenge for long-term storage of perovskite nanocrystals.

Conventional scintillator fabrication typically involves high-temperature sintering, generating agglomerated powders or large bulk crystals, which pose major challenges for device integration and processability. On the other hand, colloidal quantum dot scintillators cannot be cast into compact solid films with the necessary thickness required for most X-ray applications.
