Environmental concentrations of antimicrobials can inhibit Cyanobacteria, but little is known about their effects on Cyanobacteria-blooming freshwater ecosystem. Here, a 21 days' outdoor freshwater mesocosm experiment was established to study effects of single and combined tetracycline, triclocarban and zinc at environmental concentrations on microbial community, microbial function and antimicrobial resistance using amplicon- and metagenomic-based methods. Results showed that three chemicals reshaped the microbial community with magnified effects by chemical combinations.
