Article Synopsis
  • Neuropathic pain (NP) is a chronic condition linked to the somatosensory nervous system, significantly affecting individuals' quality of life, yet its underlying causes are not well understood.
  • The study aimed to identify differentially expressed genes (DEGs) associated with NP using data from rat models and various experimental analyses, identifying 224 DEGs and potential diagnostic markers.
  • Findings suggest that immune-related pathways and genes, particularly those involved in ferroptosis, may play a crucial role in NP development, pointing towards new directions for research on biomarkers and treatment options.

Background: To systematically evaluate the effect of bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2) and iliac cancellous bone graft (ICBG) on alveolar cleft bone grafting (ACBG) in cleft lip and palate.

Method: Online databases were searched for case-control studies related to the application of BMP-2 and ICBG in ACBG.

Result: Meta-analysis showed no significant statistical difference in the filling rate (OR = 4.

Objective: The purpose of the present work was to investigate the association between forkhead box E1 (FOXE1) and the risk of non-syndromic cleft lip with or without cleft palate (NSCL/P).

Materials And Methods: Relevant studies were searched in several professional databases up to 31 July 2019. The pooled odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (95% CIs) were calculated using a fixed-effect model or a random-effect model to analyse the relationship between FOXE1 polymorphisms and NSCL/P.
