These days, cancer can still not be effectively cured because cancer cells readily develop resistance to anticancer drugs. Therefore, an effective combination of drugs with different mechanisms to prevent drug resistance has become a very important issue. Furthermore, the BH3-only protein BNIP3 is involved in both apoptotic and autophagic cell death.

Terminal deletion of chromosome 6q.

Terminal deletions of chromosome 6q are rare. Clinical features associated with 6q terminal deletion syndrome include psychomotor retardation, seizures, hypotonia, short neck, and facial abnormalities, as well as various case-specific anomalies. Here, we describe a girl with 6q terminal deletion syndrome and unusually short stature.

Short stature in patients with 45,X/46,XY mosaicism: report of three cases.

Chromosomal analysis is routinely considered in all girls--but not boys-of short stature to screen for Turner syndrome. We report three patients of short stature (body height < 3rd percentile) with 45,X/46,XY mosaicism karyotype. They were brought to our outpatient department at the ages of 10, 13, and 18 years, respectively.
