Manganese ions (Mn)-coordinated nanoparticles have emerged as a promising class of antitumor nanotherapeutics, capable of simultaneously disrupting the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment (TME) and triggering the stimulator of interferon genes (STING) pathway-dependent antitumor immunity. However, the activation of STING signaling by Mn-based monotherapies is suboptimal for comprehensive stimulation of antigen presenting cells and reversal of immunosuppression in the TME. Here, we report the design of a Mn/CpG oligodeoxynucleotides (ODNs) codecorated black phosphorus nanosheet (BPNS@Mn/CpG) platform based on the Mn modification of BPNS and subsequent adsorption of synthetic CpG ODNs.

The current study aims to explore the protective effect of miR-150-5p delivered by hADSC-EVs on sepsis-induced acute lung injury (ALI). We noted low expression of miR-150-5p in plasma and bronchoalveolar lavage fluid samples from patients with sepsis-induced ALI.

Here, we probed into the possible molecular mechanism of circSSPO/microRNA-6820-5p (miR-6820-5p)/kallikrein-related peptidase 8 (KLK8)/PKD1 network in the esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Following whole-transcriptome sequencing and differential analysis in collected ESCC tissue samples, circRNA-miRNA-mRNA regulatory network affecting ESCC was investigated.

This two-dimensional (2D) nanosensor can spontaneously penetrate the lipid bilayer of exosome membranes owing to its ultra-thin geometry. Subsequently, the adsorbed probe specifically hybridizes with the target miRNA and then dissociates from the nanosensor surface, generating fluorescent signals.

However, interference from DNA displacement by external non-targeted ligands has precluded their practical applications for specific detection and imaging at high protein concentrations. Metal coordination is an attractive strategy for biomolecular crosslinking and functional molecular self-assembly.

Objective: To develop a diagnostic analysis software for determining the type of acid-base balance disorder.
Methods: Mathematical models were built based on Henderson-Hasselbalch equations and compensation formulas, to determine the important parameters of acid-base balance disorder, and to develope acid-base balance disorder analysis process. The software was compiled using the Visual Basic.
Many polymer decorated/modified 2D nanomaterials have been developed as enhanced drug delivery systems and photothermal theranostic nanoagents. However, few reports describe the use of these novel nanomaterials as nanoplatforms for biomolecule sensing. Herein, we used calcium-cation-doped polydopamine-modified (PDA-modified) 2D black phosphorus (BP) nanosheets (BP@PDA) as a sensing nanoplatform for the detection of nucleic acids and proteins in complex biological samples.

In this study, a simple low-temperature route is presented for the synthesis of Mg and Ce co-doped ZnO quantum dots (QDs). X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, UV-vis absorption spectra, and fluorescence measurements were used to characterize the synthesized QDs. The results indicate that the oxygen vacancy concentration could be tuned via Mg and Ce ions doping, which leads to the regulation of luminescence.

A rat model of renal interstitial fibrosis was established by unilateral ureteral ligation (UUO). Rat proximal tubular epithelial cell line (NRK-52E) was used to explore the effect of MVs containing microRNA-34a on tubular epithelial cells during fibrosis, which were secreted by tubulointerstitial fibroblasts.

Here, in order to mitigate this intrinsic drawback of DM1, we developed mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) loaded with DM1 and surface-decorated with hydrochloride dopamine (PDA), polyethylene glycol (PEG), and epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) aptamer (APt) for the targeted treatment of colorectal cancer (CRC). In this system, the PDA coating could be used as pH-sensitive gatekeepers to control the release of DM1 from MSNs in response to the pH stimulus and EpCAM APt-guided active targeting enables the increased delivery of DM1 to CRC as well as a reduction in toxicity and side effects by minimizing the exposure of normal tissues to DM1.

In this study, we developed a simple, sensitive, selective turn-on fluorescent aptasensor for theophylline detection in serum, utilizing ligand-induced self-assembling RNA aptamers and two different interaction stages of the aptamer fragments with graphene oxide (GO). A single strand of the theophylline RNA aptamer (33-mer) was split at the end loop region into two shorter fragments, one of which was labeled with a fluorophore (FAM).

The possible reason is attributed to the weak nuclease resistance of RNA in biological environments. Addition of a salt solution to PEG-coated AuNP solutions helps in screening the electrostatic repulsion between nanoparticles and generating a color change of the solutions from wine red to blue in 10 min in accordance with the MW of PEG, which illustrates the different stability degrees (SDs) of the AuNPs. The SDs are calculated by the absorbance ratios of the stable to the aggregated AuNPs in the solution.
