Compared with SEIDF and ATIDF, BMIDF released more polyphenols and exhibited better antioxidant capacity during in vitro gastrointestinal digestion. The IDF of lotus leaves changed the gut microbiota composition during in vitro colonic fermentation.

In this paper, we constructed a large-scale TEE apical four-chamber view (A4CV) image dataset and proposed an automatic left ventricular segmentation method for the TEE A4CV based on the UNeXt deep neural network. UNeXt, a variant of U-Net integrating a multilayer perceptron, was employed for left ventricle segmentation in the TEE A4CV because it could yield promising segmentation performance while reducing both the number of network parameters and computational complexity.

In this study, two fluorinases, FlA and FlA, were identified from a pool of 12 718 nonredundant proteins using a genome-mining approach, with FlA showing high catalytic activity. Fifteen EDCs, with total concentrations in the river water of 149-2525 ng/L were detected, with bisphenol-A, 4-nonylphenol, 4-tert-octylphenol, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, and methylparaben being the five predominant EDCs. The total estrogen concentration was high downstream and significantly correlated with the spatial distribution of urban land use, wastewater discharge, population, and gross domestic product, indicating human activities have increased estrogen levels and threatened ecological health.

Background: The choroid plexus (ChP) helps maintain the homeostasis of the brain by forming the blood-CSF barrier via tight junctions (TJ) at the choroid plexus epithelial cells, and subsequently preventing neuroinflammation by restricting immune cells infiltration into the central nervous system. However, whether chronic cerebral hypoperfusion causes ChP structural damage and blood-CSF barrier impairment remains understudied.
Methods: The bilateral carotid stenosis (BCAS) model in adult male C57BL/6 J mice was used to induce cerebral hypoperfusion, a model for vascular contributions to cognitive impairment and dementia (VCID).

Background: Morphological changes in the abdominal wall muscle in diastasis recti abdominis (DRA) patients with low back pain (LBP) symptoms and whether there is a wider interrectus distance (IRD) remain unclear.
Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between DRA severity and LBP and the morphological differences in abdominal wall muscles between patients who presented with symptoms of LBP and those who were asymptomatic.
Methods: A total of 57 postpartum DRA patients were enrolled, including 21 without LBP, 36 with LBP, and 30 healthy nulliparous women.
Neoadjuvant therapy (NAT) for early-stage pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDA) has recently gained prominence. We investigated the clinical significance of mucin 5 AC (MUC5AC), which exists in two major glycoforms, a less-glycosylated immature isoform (IM) and a heavily glycosylated mature isoform (MM), as a biomarker in resected PDA. Immunohistochemistry was performed on 100 resected PDAs to evaluate the expression of the IM and MM of MUC5AC using their respective monoclonal antibodies, CLH2 (NBP2-44455) and 45M1 (ab3649).

Biomedical Coreference Resolution focuses on identifying the coreferences in biomedical texts, which normally consists of two parts: (i) mention detection to identify textual representation of biological entities and (ii) finding their coreference links. Recently, a popular approach to enhance the task is to embed knowledge base into deep neural networks.
