At the top of many ecosystems, raptors, also known as birds of prey, hold major influence. They shape their surroundings through their powerful hunting skills and complex interactions with their environment. This study investigates the beak morphology of four prominent raptor species, Golden eagle (Aquila chrysaetos), Common buzzard (Buteo buteo), Peregrine falcon (Falco peregrinus) and Common kestrel (Falco tinnunculus), found in Türkiye.

However, its inherent complexity associated with elusive intermediates hinders the predictive synthesis of high-performance cathode materials. Here, correlative in situ X-ray absorption/scattering spectroscopy is used to investigate the calcination of nickel-based cathodes, focusing specifically on the archetypal LiNiO from Ni(OH).
View Article and Find Full Text PDFLithium-ion batteries play a crucial role in decarbonizing transportation and power grids, but their reliance on high-cost, earth-scarce cobalt in the commonly employed high-energy layered Li(NiMnCo)O cathodes raises supply-chain and sustainability concerns. Despite numerous attempts to address this challenge, eliminating Co from Li(NiMnCo)O remains elusive, as doing so detrimentally affects its layering and cycling stability. Here, we report on the rational stoichiometry control in synthesizing Li-deficient composite-structured LiNiMnO, comprising intergrown layered and rocksalt phases, which outperforms traditional layered counterparts.

For this purpose, 24 Deltari Ilir dog skulls (12 females and 12 males) were used in the study. The difference between males and females at 6 values was statistically significant.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFLiNiO (LNO) is a promising cathode material for next-generation Li-ion batteries due to its exceptionally high capacity and cobalt-free composition that enables more sustainable and ethical large-scale manufacturing. However, its poor cycle life at high operating voltages over 4.1 V impedes its practical use, thus motivating efforts to elucidate and mitigate LiNiO degradation mechanisms at high states of charge.

Differences between male and female were also statistically analysed. Further, the parameters that can be used in gender discrimination were also analysed.

The variety of methods used for the treatment of severe tracheal stenosis and the occasional failure to obtain lasting and consistent relief are measures of the difficulty of the problem. Presently, several surgical approaches are used for reconstructing large defects of the cervical trachea, reminding us that no single technique has gained wide clinical acceptance. We resected a U-shaped cartilage from 6 to 8 rings of the trachea of 10 New Zealand rabbits.
