Background: Endogenous glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) regulate islet cell function. GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) have been associated with an elevated risk of acute pancreatitis. Data on the pancreatic safety of tirzepatide (a dual GLP-1 and GIP agonist) and its effects on islet cell function in randomized controlled trials (RCTs) are scarce.

Purpose: To evaluate the use, acceptability, and experience of a seven-item palliative care referral screening tool in an outpatient oncology setting.

Methods: A two-phase convergent parallel mixed-methods study. Patient participants who met any of the "Royal Marsden Triggers Tool" criteria were compared with those who did not in terms of demographic data, palliative care needs (Integrated Palliative Outcome Scale, IPOS) and quality of life indicators (EORTC-QLQ-C30).

Capture-based targeted sequencing using a T-cell control in myeloid malignancies and idiopathic cytopenias.

We report on a study of next-generation sequencing in 257 patients undergoing investigations for cytopenias. We sequenced bone marrow aspirates using a target enrichment panel comprising 82 genes and used T cells from paired blood as a control. One hundred and sixty patients had idiopathic cytopenias, 81 had myeloid malignancies and 16 had lymphoid malignancies or other diagnoses.

This study was designed to analyze the analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial potentials of a hydro-methanolic extract of flowers, along with qualitative and quantitative phytochemical screening. The anti-inflammatory effect was tested using the in vitro membrane stabilizing method for human red blood cells (HRBC), the analgesic effect was tested using the in vivo acetic acid-induced writing method, and the antibacterial effect was tested using the disc diffusion method.

We provide an estimate of annual bovine lead exposure and attributable mortality at informal lead acid battery recycling sites in India. We use Pure Earth's Toxic Sites Identification Program database, the FAO's Gridded Livestock dataset, and a Poisson plume model of lead particle air dispersion to estimate site-level mortality. We calculate that India suffers 2370 excess bovine fatalities each year, resulting in more than USD $2.

Keloid masking a parotid tumor: A rare case presentation.

While coronary CT angiography (CCTA) is crucial for detecting several coronary artery diseases, it fails to provide essential hemodynamic parameters for early detection and treatment. These parameters can be easily obtained by performing computational fluid dynamic (CFD) analysis on the 3D artery geometry generated by CCTA image segmentation. As the coronary artery is small in size, manually segmenting the left coronary artery from CCTA scans is a laborious, time-intensive, error-prone, and complicated task which also requires a high level of expertise.

Neratinib in advanced HER2-positive breast cancer: experience from the royal Marsden hospital.

Purpose: To describe the tolerability and efficacy of neratinib as a monotherapy and in combination with capecitabine in advanced HER2-positive breast cancer in a real-world setting.

Methods: Patients who received neratinib for advanced HER2-positive at the Royal Marsden Hospital NHS Trust between August 2016 and May 2020 were identified from electronic patient records and baseline characteristics, previous treatment and response to treatment were recorded. The primary endpoint of the study was progression-free survival (PFS).
