Background: In Russia, the following two questionnaires are mainly used to study the burnout syndrome: Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) and Boyko's Burnout Inventory (BBI). Despite the fact that the questionnaires are based on different theoretical models and composition of the scales, they evaluate essentially the same construct. A few published sources provide data on correlations between the results of measuring burnout using these methods.

Advances in cantilever-based friction probes enable accurate droplet friction measurements down to the nanonewton regime, thus suiting much better for characterizing the wetting of superhydrophobic surfaces than contact angle hysteresis measurements. This work quantifies the relationship between droplet friction and liquid-solid contact fraction, through theory and experimental validation.

Current studies often assume that they remain invariant, that is, surfaces are wetting-inert. Complex wetting scenarios, such as adaptive or reactive wetting processes, may involve time-dependent variations in interfacial energies.

Although the prepared rhodium(III) cyclometalates are isostructural with iridium(III) analogues, different types of π-π interactions are responsible for the aggregation-induced emission (AIE) of the complexes depending on the metal ion. For iridium(III) complexes, pyridyl-pyridyl contacts are essential for AIE because they lower the energy of the emissive metal-to-ligand charge transfer state below that of the non-emissive state located at the ancillary ligand.

As many other plant products, they can be exposed to contaminants, ones of which are mycotoxins, secondary metabolites of fungi. Such contamination can occur during harvesting, processing and storage, distribution, retailing and consumer use.

In addition, gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) have been demonstrated as powerful radiosensitizers in BT procedures. Prior to irradiation by a BT device, their delivery to tumors can enhance the radiation effect by generating low-energy photons and electrons, leading to reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, lethal to cells.

While repellency for water is easily achieved with hydrocarbon functionalities, repellency for many low-surface-tension liquids (down to 30 mN m ) still requires perfluoroalkyls (a persistent environmental pollutant and bioaccumulation hazard). Here, the scalable room-temperature synthesis of stochastic nanoparticle surfaces with fluoro-free moieties is investigated.

In contrast to -H perimidine, the -methylated ligand gave the expected cyclometalated μ-chloro-bridged iridium(III) dimer which was readily converted to a cationic heteroleptic complex with 4,4'-dicarboxy-2,2'-bipyridine. The resulting iridium(III) dye exhibited panchromatic absorption up to 1000 nm and was tested in a dye-sensitized solar cell.

The title compounds, 2-(4-methylphenyl)-1-perimidine hemihydrate (, CHN·0.5HO) and 1-methyl-2-(4-methylphenyl)-1-perimidine (, CHN), were prepared and characterized by H NMR and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The organic mol-ecule of the hemihydrate lies on a twofold rotation axis while the water mol-ecule lies on the inter-section of three twofold rotation axes (point group symmetry 222).

This requires centralized collections of fungal cultures characterized by a set of stable strains to provide for phytopathological, immunological, breeding, genetic, toxicological, parasitological and other studies. The State Collection of Phytopathogenic Microorganisms of the ARSRIP is the State Depository of Phytopathogenic microorganisms that are non-pathogenic to humans or farmed animals.

Objective: To compare the cognitive functioning of patients with paranoid schizophrenia with alcohol dependence syndrome and patients with this disease without comorbid alcohol pathology.
Material And Methods: The study included 34 patients with a diagnosis of schizophrenia, paranoid form, aged 24 to 39 years (22 men and 12 women). The experimental group included 17 patients with paranoid schizophrenia combined with alcohol dependence syndrome with diagnosed symptomatic alcoholism.
Neolignans honokiol and 4'--methylhonokiol (MH) and their derivatives have pronounced anti-inflammatory activity, as evidenced by numerous pharmacological studies. Literature data suggested that cyclooxygenase type 2 (COX-2) may be a target for these compounds in vitro and in vivo. Recent studies of [C]MPbP () biodistribution in LPS (lipopolysaccharide)-treated rats have confirmed the high potential of MH derivatives for imaging neuroinflammation.

The title compounds, 2-(pyridin-2-yl)-1-perimidine (CHN; ), 1-methyl-2-(pyridin-2-yl)-1-perimidine (CHN; ), and 1,3-dimethyl-2-(pyridin-2-yl)-1-perimidinium iodide (CHN ·I; ) were synthesized under mild conditions and their structures were determined by H NMR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray analysis. The -methyl-ation of the nitro-gen atom() at the perimidine moiety results in a significant increase of the inter-plane angle between the pyridin-2-yl ring and the perimidine system. The unsubstituted perimidine () forms a weak intra-molecular N-H⋯N bond that consolidates the mol-ecular conformation.

Background: Carotid and vagal paragangliomas (CPGLs and VPGLs) are rare neoplasms that arise from the paraganglia located at the bifurcation of carotid arteries and vagal trunk, respectively. Both tumors can occur jointly as multiple paragangliomas accounting for approximately 10 to 20% of all head and neck paragangliomas. However, molecular and genetic mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of multiple paragangliomas remain elusive.
