Introduction: This second part of the S2k guidelines is an update of the 2015 S1 European guidelines.
Objective: These guidelines aim to provide an accepted decision aid for the selection, implementation and assessment of appropriate and sufficient therapy for patients with hidradenitis suppurativa/acne inversa (HS).
Methods: The chapters have been selected after a Delphi procedure among the experts/authors.
Introduction: Limited health literacy - the ability to access, process, and use health information and services - contributes to persistent health inequities. Yet little is known about associations of limited health literacy with impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly for US adults in rural areas. This study sought to determine associations of limited health literacy with impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic among a diverse sample of adults in rural Northern Arizona.

In the Phase 3 NAVIGATE trial, patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis received ustekinumab for 16 weeks. Patients with inadequate response (Investigator's Global Assessment [IGA] ≥ 2) were randomized to switch to guselkumab or continue ustekinumab.

We explore parallels, discontinuities, and entanglements between different expressions of - and responses to - Muslim political dissent. Our insights are drawn from ethnographic fieldwork conducted in Dar es Salaam, Malindi, and Zanzibar City.

A recently published consensus statement outlined morphological definitions of typical HS lesions, but no consensus has been reached regarding clinical characterization and examination of HS tissue samples. In this study, we aimed to establish a protocol for reporting histopathologic and clinical characteristics of HS tissue specimens.

This review summarizes recent advances in topical therapies for psoriasis and currently available treatments.
Recent Findings: Topical aryl hydrocarbon receptor modulators (tapinarof) and topical phosphodiesterase-4 inhibitors (roflumilast) have been proven effective in randomized controlled trials for psoriasis.
Calcitriol circulates at low levels in normal human and rodent fetuses, in part due to increased 24-hydroxylation of calcitriol and 25-hydroxyvitamin D by 24-hydroxylase (CYP24A1). Inactivating mutations of cause high postnatal levels of calcitriol and the human condition of infantile hypercalcemia type 1, but whether the fetus is disturbed by the loss of CYP24A1 is unknown. We hypothesized that loss of in fetal mice will cause high calcitriol, hypercalcemia, and increased placental calcium transport.

We hypothesized that the answers to most hand surgery questions posed to an AI large language model would be correct. Using the topics covered in Green's 8 Edition as a guide, 56 hand surgery questions were compiled and posed to ChatGPT (OpenAI, San Francisco, CA).

However, independent of fetal genotypes, maternal loss of Cyp27b1 altered fetal mineral and hormonal levels compared to offspring of WT dams. We hypothesized that these maternal influences would alter postnatal skeletal development.

Differences in the amount of oxygen lost by LFO and its magnetic behavior were observed in nominally identical LFO films grown on substrates prepared using different common methods. In an LFO film grown on SrTiO (STO) substrate, the original perovskite film structure was preserved following reduction, and remnant magnetization was only seen at low temperatures.

We designed and characterized a microfluidic device capable of subjecting platelets to shear histories reaching as high as 6700 s in a single passage. Time-lapse videos of platelets and thrombi are captured using fluorescence microscopy.

While this barrier protects the brain and spinal cord from inflammation and infection, it prevents most drugs from reaching the brain tissue. With the expanding interest in the pathophysiology of BBB, the development of BBB models has dramatically evolved.

The adequacy of current CHO intake recommendations, 30-90 g·h dependent on CHO mixture and tolerability, to support elite marathon performance is unclear. We sought to scrutinize the current upper limit recommendation for exogenous CHO intake to support modeled sub-2-h marathon (S2M) attempts across elite male and female runners.

Pro bono physical therapy through service-learning in Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) curricula has been proposed to address these limitations. However, there is a lack of research regarding best practice.
