Signatures with at least 2 jets and large missing transverse momentum are categorized into events with 0, 1, or 2 leptons. New results for regions of parameter space where the kinematical properties of top squark pair production and top quark pair production are very similar are presented.

Patients with retroperitoneal fibrosis (RPF), a rare condition, present with nonspecific abdominal pain or flank pain that can be complicated by urologic obstruction and/or vascular compromise. Reporting rare entities that often elude prompt diagnosis will aid clinicians to consider the entity in their differential diagnosis and potentially lead to earlier recognition and appropriate management. Our case emphasizes the importance of not just the diagnosis and treatment of RPF but how to best monitor RPF patients to minimize complications from disease progression or treatment-related adverse events.

The CMS experiment at the LHC has measured the differential cross sections of Z bosons decaying to pairs of leptons, as functions of transverse momentum and rapidity, in lead-lead collisions at a nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of 5.02  TeV. The measured Z boson elliptic azimuthal anisotropy coefficient is compatible with zero, showing that Z bosons do not experience significant final-state interactions in the medium produced in the collision.

Background: During the COVID-19 pandemic, care home residents and staff were identified as being at risk of infection. Their safety was important, but equally important was safe delivery of healthcare to those who needed it. The Welsh Government provided care homes with video consulting (VC) to deliver safe healthcare to the vulnerable, combat isolation and protect the residents and staff.

Gastric balloon: A rare cause of lumbar radiculopathy.

Background: Factors that are known to cause lumbar epidural venous plexus (EVP) engorgement include inferior vena cava (IVC) obstruction, portal hypertension, vascular agenesis, morbid obesity, and/or hypercoagulable states. Here, we present a 32-year-old female admitted with the new onset of lumbar radiculopathy attributed to a gastric balloon causing compression of the IVC and engorgement of the EVP.
