(1) Background: Wearable sensors support healthcare professionals in clinical decision-making by measuring vital parameters such as heart rate (HR), respiration rate (RR), and blood oxygenation saturation (SpO). This study assessed the validity and reliability of two types of wearable sensors, based on electrocardiogram or photoplethysmography, compared with continuous monitoring of patients recovering from trauma surgery at the postanesthesia care unit. (2) Methods: In a prospective observational study, HR, RR, SpO, and temperature of patients were simultaneously recorded with the VitalPatch and Radius PPG and compared with reference monitoring.

We hypothesize that a clinically significant difference in the incidence and severity of hypotension will be found when different doses of propofol and remifentanil are used for induction of anaesthesia.
Methods: This is a secondary analysis of a randomised controlled trial wherein four groups (A-D) of patients received one out of four different combinations of propofol and remifentanil, titrated to a predicted equipotency in probability of tolerance to laryngoscopy (PTOL) according to the Bouillon interaction model.
This single blinded randomized controlled trial aims to assess whether the application of a Bayesian-adjusted Ce (effect-site of propofol) advisory tool leads towards a more stringent control of the cerebral drug effect during anaesthesia, using qCON as control variable. 100 patients scheduled for elective surgery were included and randomized into a control or intervention group (1:1 ratio). In the intervention group the advisory screen was made available to the clinician, whereas it was blinded in the control group.

This study aims to show that Machine Learning techniques have a potential to generate meaningful alarms during general anesthesia without putting constraints on the type of procedure. Two distinct approaches were tested - Complication Detection and Anomaly Detection.

It promotes interactions between messenger RNA and the spliceosome catalytic machinery. This gene, predicted to be highly intolerant to loss of function (LoF) and very conserved through evolution, has not been previously reported in constitutive human disease.
