Introduction: Open repair of Congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) in neonates often involves reconstruction of the abdominal wall using a patch. Data on predictors for the need of a patch and associated postoperative risks, such as infection or patch detachment, are limited. Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate ground reaction forces (GRFs) in cats after unilateral total hip replacement (THR) and compare them with cats after femoral head and neck ostectomy (FHO).

Methods: The databases of the Small Animal Clinic of the Veterinary University in Vienna and three referral clinics were searched for cats that had undergone unilateral THR with the BioMedtrix Micro total hip system or FHO more than 6 months previously. Owners were invited to complete a survey and bring their cats for re-examination, inlcuding clinical and orthopaedic examinations, hip radiography and a gait analysis using a pressure-sensitive plate.

This prospective long-term cohort study investigates the characteristics, predictors and dynamic changes of different chest wall deformities in a large cohort of CDH patients.

Methods: All children diagnosed with CDH and treated at the University Hospital Mannheim from 2010 to 2023 were included.

Objective: We aim to provide a template structured report of fetal Magnetic Resonance Imaging in congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) that was locally validated by the CDH study group in Mannheim.

Methods: A selection of 50 fetal MRIs of patients with an isolated diaphragmatic hernia and associated radiology reports from five different senior radiologists from a single center resulted in a primary structured report, which was put into practice by using dedicated software. A questionnaire survey of the interdisciplinary CDH study group Mannheim was used to adapt the report to the clinical requirements.
