Breaking barriers: The impact of telemedicine on improving soft tissue and bone tumor management in Armenia.

Purpose: Musculoskeletal sarcomas are a rare group of malignant neoplasms, accounting for approximately 12 % of all malignant neoplasms among children. Childhood cancer outcomes vary between developed and developing countries due to financial and educational inequalities. Telemedicine programs have a huge impact on the quality of cancer care, helping to optimize resources for better cancer care in a resource-limited setting.

What do we know about the role of neoadjuvant targeted therapy in early-stage -mutant and -fused non-small cell lung cancer?-a narrative review of the current literature.

Background And Objective: The standard first-line treatment for patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) harbouring epidermal growth factor receptor () mutations or anaplastic lymphoma kinase () fusions is targeted therapy using tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs). However, data are still lacking on the use of TKIs as a neoadjuvant or induction approach. Therefore, this narrative review aims to summarize the current knowledge on resectable -mutant and -fused NSCLC regarding available perioperative treatment regimens and off-label neoadjuvant use of targeted therapy.

Surgical waitlist management: Perspectives from surgeons on surgical prioritization at a paediatric hospital.

Globally exacerbated surgical waitlists have provided the opportunity to reflect on prioritization and resource allocation decisions. The unique circumstances of paediatric surgery and consequences of surgical delay prompted the study reported in this paper. As part of a larger project to attend to prioritization in our surgical waitlists, we conducted a Quality Improvement study, the purpose of which is to understand surgeon's perspectives regarding the ethical and practical realities of surgical prioritization at our institution.

Masked Speech Perception with Bone Conduction Device, Contralateral Routing of Signals Hearing Aid, and Cochlear Implant Use in Adults with Single-Sided Deafness: A Prospective Hearing Device Comparison using a Unified Testing Framework.

Introduction: For the treatment of single-sided deafness (SSD), common treatment choices include a contralateral routing of signals (CROS) hearing aid, a bone conduction device (BCD), and a cochlear implant (CI). The primary aim of this study was to compare speech understanding in noise and binaural benefits in adults with postlingual SSD between preoperative unaided baseline, preoperative CROS and BCD trial devices, and CI, following recommendations from a consensus protocol. In addition, we investigated the effect of masker type on speech understanding.
