In this contribution we are introducing a Variable Bridging Ligand (VBL) strategy for the preparation of heterometallic complexes. One synthetic challenge associated with other methods described in the existing literature stems from the fact that if there is a need to change the donor groups on a metalloligand, both the initial ligand and the resulting metalloligand must be synthesized all over again. To circumvent this problem, we reasoned that if a metal complex would have one labile ligand that can be easily replaced by various bridging polytopic species, several metalloligands can thus be generated starting from the same starting material.

Continuous quality improvement of the professional curriculum can present as a series of complex problems to solve. Schools and colleges of pharmacy would benefit from a structured framework to approach complex problem-solving while engaging faculty and students throughout the process. Design thinking is a framework that promotes creative problem-solving while using techniques that make ambiguity and failure more comfortable during the iterative process.

Background: Ganglioneuroblastoma intermixed (GNBi) and ganglioneuroma (GN) represent benign variants of peripheral neuroblastic tumours. While historically surgical resection was recommended, watchful active observation has become the accepted management for a subset of patients.

Objectives: To review clinical features, biology, natural history and management of a retrospective UK CCLG study cohort of GN and GNBi, and compare outcomes of patients treated with surgical resection or watchful active observation.

Background: Work-related asthma (WRA) is prevalent yet under-recognized in UK primary care.

Aim: We aimed to identify behaviour change interventions (BCI) intended for use in primary care to identify WRA, or any other chronic disease (that could be adapted for use in WRA).

Design & Setting: Systematic review METHOD: We searched CCRCT, Embase, PsychINFO and Ovid-MEDLINE databases (1946-2023) for studies describing development and/or evaluation of BCIs for case finding any chronic disease in primary care settings, aimed at either healthcare professionals and/or patients.

Purpose: Auditory brainstem response (ABR) thresholds are corrected to estimate behavioral thresholds in infants. Corrections were validated, and a comparison of behavioral threshold estimates between systems was conducted to inform equipment transition and protocols in Ontario, Canada.

Method: In Study 1, a retrospective file review was conducted.
