Purpose: To assess the performance of a pocket-sized ultrasound device (PUD) for evaluating dilatation of the renal collecting system with high-end ultrasound devices (HUDs) as a reference standard.
Methods: One sonographer examined both kidneys using a PUD to evaluate dilatation of the collecting system. The grading of the dilatation ranged from 0 to 4.
Purpose: To evaluate the relationship between the degree of hydronephrosis and the detection rates of ureteral stones with ultrasonography (US).
Methods: Of 250 consecutive patients with suspected ureterolithiasis, 214 who were diagnosed with ureterolithiasis were enrolled in this study. First, both kidneys were observed by US to evaluate the intrarenal collecting systems.

We studied four eyes with retinal detachment accompanied by a break in the nonpigmented epithelium in the pars plicata of the ciliary body in three patients with atopic dermatitis. Each eye had either ectopia lentis or coloboma of the lens. In the region of the lens malformation, ciliary processes were hypoplastic.

The patient was a 60-year-old man with the chief complaints of bloody stools, and their abnormal motion. The diagnosis was sigmoid colon cancer. Esophageal cancer and cholelithiasis were also found by several preoperative examinations.
