Objective: The purpose of this investigation was to explore if a physical therapy program involving strength, flexibility, balance, and walking can improve the uncharacteristic gait variability and overall mobility of persons living with multiple sclerosis (pwMS).

Design: Pre-post design to evaluate the mobility improvements after undergoing 6 weeks of a gait and balance physical therapy intervention.

Setting: The initial 2 weeks were conducted at a medical center under close supervision of a physical therapist.

Multiple obstacle avoidance induces a higher potential of falls among older adults. This study attempted to add other important measurements by investigating the pressure-related gait parameters when stepping over multiple obstacles on a portable pressure-sensing walkway. Background: Digital cervical auscultation (CA) has been proposed since the 1950s for screening aspiration among patients with dysphagia. To help address the impending HIV physician shortage, we launched an HIV Medicine Pathway within our Internal Medicine Residency in 2008. Between 2015 and 2017, surveys showed a decrease in the number of graduates providing primary care for people living with HIV. We suggest evaluation of long-term outcomes from similar training programs and stronger support for HIV primary care career development.
