Aim: To present results of VAC application in children with complicated wounds of anterior abdominal wall combined with intestinal and/or biliary fistulas.

Material And Methods: For the last 7 years 8 patients aged from 1.5 months to 15 years with infected postoperative wounds of anterior abdominal wall complicated by intestinal fistulas (6), biliary and intestinal fistulas (1) and biliary fistula (1) have been treated at the surgical department №2 of Russian Children's Clinical Hospital.

This review is dedicated to comparative analysis of the early stages of thymus ontogeny in fish, amphibians, and mammals. Morphological and molecular-genetic aspects of the formation of thymic stroma, colonization of this organ with T-cell progenitors, and interaction of different cell populations in the course of organogenesis are considered. Particular attention is given to the hematopoietic role of the thymus during embryogenesis and new data on the origin of T-cell progenitors.

Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) has been made in two groups of patients with chronic heart failure (CHF) with further estimation of the rate of postoperative organic dysfunctions and pyoseptic complications. In group 1 (n = 50) CABG was combined with intracoronary or intramyocardial injection of autologous precultivated for 7-8 days mononuclear cells of the bone marrow (1 x 10(9) cells). In group 2 (n = 479) the intraoperative injection of the above cells was not made.

The authors studied changes in the contamination of urban water objects with hepatitis A virus (HAV) (over 11 years) and analyzed its association with HAV infection morbidity in Odessa residents. The study showed that HAV antigen was isolated in 5.5% of all cases.
