[Epithelial and stromal cell relation in peritumorous zone of the prostate gland cancer].

This article deals with an urgent topic--assessment of peculiar characteistics of epithelial-stromal interactions in prostate gland tissues outside the tumor growth zone. On demonstrating pre-cancerous changes, this zone can either further accompany or precede the development of malignant neoplasm. The authors have established suppression of general morpho-functional activity of histogematogenous barrier components, increase in degenerative changes in epithelium, both in the vicinity of the tumor, and at a distance from it, which is, most probably, caused by dishormonal changes.
