2D transition metal oxides have created revolution in the field of supercapacitors due to their fabulous electrochemical performance and stability. Molybdenum trioxides (MoO) are one of the most prominent solid-state materials employed in energy storage applications. In this present work, we report a non-laborious physical vapor deposition (PVD) and ultrasonic extraction (USE) followed by vacuum assisted solvothermal treatment (VST) route (DEST), to produce 2D MoO nanosheets, without any complex equipment requirements.

In tropical regions, numerous tick-borne pathogens (TBPs) play a crucial role as causative agents of infectious diseases in humans and animals. Recently, the population of companion and pet dogs has significantly increased in Vietnam; however, information on the occurrence of TBPs is still limited. The objectives of this investigation were to determine the occurrence rate, risk factors, and phylogenetic characteristics of TBPs in dogs from northern Vietnam.

A novel property existing in the stain-etching technique that eliminates the need for expensive etchant masks in the texturization process of silicon wafers was identified. Through the combination of grayscale lithography and stain-etching methodologies, selective patterning of silicon with AR-P 3510 T, a positive-photoresist mask, was carried out. The etch area ratio was varied in nine different patterns of various feature sizes ranging from 400 to 1500 μm.

The COVID-19 pandemic has underscored the critical need for rapid and accurate screening and diagnostic methods for potential respiratory viruses. Existing COVID-19 diagnostic approaches face limitations either in terms of turnaround time or accuracy. In this study, we present an electrochemical biosensor that offers nearly instantaneous and precise SARS-CoV-2 detection, suitable for point-of-care and environmental monitoring applications.
