Many thoracic aortic aneurysms are discovered incidentally, and most develop without symptoms. Symptoms are usually due to sudden expansion of the aneurysm, which can cause a vague pain in the back, or sometimes a sharp pain that may denote the presence of impending rupture. Other symptoms are related to pressure on adjacent structures, such as pressure on the bronchus that can cause respiratory distress, or pressure on the laryngeal nerve causing vocal hoarseness.

Objective: The aim of this study to investigate prognostic efficacy of high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and to identify the most valuable cut-off value of hs-CRP for determining long term prognosis.

Subclavian steal syndrome (SSS) is a clinical entity characterized by brachial and basilar insufficiency as a result of critical proximal subclavian artery stenosis or occlusion. We report a patient of giant hypervascular thyroid nodule presenting with features of SSS. The left hand ischemia and symptoms of vertebro-basilar artery in our patient were probably related to stealing of blood by the hypervascular thyroid nodule from the subclavian artery.

Background: Approximately in 50% of the patients who have undergone coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG), pleural fluid collection occurs at the early postoperative period and resolves spontaneously.

Case Report: CABG was performed on a 54-year-old male. In the early postoperative period, the chest roentgenogram revealed right pleural collection.
