Foreign bodies in the paranasal sinuses, especially in the sphenoid sinus are uncommon. We report a rare case of a foreign body in the sphenoid sinus after an occupational accident.

The analysis of the cases showed that the causing factors had been direct violence due to fight, sport and traffic accidents. It had been proved that these fractures are not very rare.

A rare case of multispaced maxillary sinus with an unusual anterior additional chamber an a lower orbito-ethmoidal cell, each with its own opening into the anterior cavity is described. Our cases was checked and confirmed radiographically and sinuscopically and a simple operational correction for aesthetic demands was performed.

Every case varies to some extent, and only general conclusions may be drawn. The retroactive analysis of the documents from every case that was treated at the Ear, Nose, and Throat Clinic of the Aristotelian University from 1970 to 1975, as well as the comparative statistical study, show common characteristics shared by all 90 cases under consideration.
