Assessment of Synvisc treatment in osteoarthritis.

Background. Viscosupplementation is a relatively new method for the treatment of osteoarthritis (OA). The main goal of this project was to assess the safety and clinical utility of Hylan G-F20 (Synvisc(R)) in the treatment of pain associated with osteoarthritis of the knee.

[Acute knee hematoma--therapeutic management ].

Authors, on the base of own material, analyse a pathogenesis of the knee haematoma and ways and possibilities of the treatment in these cases. From 1991 to 2001 we performed 2950 knee arthroscopies. Knee haematoma was the main indication to perform arthroscopy in 382 patients.

[Reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament of the knee joint using Eriksson's method].

The reconstruction of the anterior crucial ligament of the knee joint with the method of Eriksson has been performed in 10 patients of 17 to 42 years. In some patients complicated injuries of joint structures were observed. Control examinations included 7 patients in the period of observation over 6 months after the operation.
