Neoadjuvant Immunotherapy Followed by Surgery Compared with Upfront Surgery Alone in Operable Colon Cancer with Deficient Mismatch Repair: Modeling Oncological Outcomes and Numbers Needed to Treat.

Background: Trials on neoadjuvant immunotherapy in operable colon cancer with deficient mismatch repair (dMMR) reported high pathological response rates in the surgical specimen, but long-term survival is not known. Neoadjuvant immunotherapy as a stand-alone therapy without subsequent radical surgery is currently not investigated in colon cancer.

Objective: The aim of this study was to model outcomes between trial data and real-world patients after surgery.

Accuracy of the Norwegian trauma protocol. An observational population study from South-Western Norway.

Background: The Norwegian trauma plan was established in 2007 and renewed in 2017 defining national trauma team activation (TTA) criteria. Norwegian studies validating the performance of previous TTA protocols have found overtriage and undertriage to be out of line with the quality indicators set in the national trauma plan, but studies have not yet been published validating the new TTA protocol.

Material And Method: This was a registry study of a prospectively maintained database in the period from 01/01/2018 to 12/31/2020.

Mammalian perfusion cultivation at high L-Arginine concentration for efficient production of recombinant protein by increasing perfusion filter transmission.

Cultivations of Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells in a perfusion setup were conducted in the presence of super physiological concentrations of L-Arginine to investigate the impact on transmission through the perfusion filter for production of a recombinant domain antibody. Our study revealed that the presence of L-Arginine within the range of 30-50 mM had a positive impact on transmission. However, the higher concentrations were found to have a negative correlation with cell viability, and an optimal concentration of approximately 40 mM was identified.
