Background: Urinary tract infections are frequently caused by Gram-negative bacilli, and timely detection and management of resistant strains and their antimicrobial susceptibilities are crucial.
Methods: A six-month study examined Gram-negative bacilli from catheterized and noncatheterized patients, assessing antibiotic susceptibility, minimum inhibitory concentration, and Extended spectrum beta lactamase (ESBL) production genes using real-time Polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
Results: Out of 72 isolates, 55.
Zinc nanoparticles (ZnNPs) are a viable option in a number of disciplines, including cancer treatment, due to their special features. Among the several techniques for synthesizing ZnNP, biosynthesis with natural extracts is a highly effective and environmentally benign method, especially for uses in biomedicine. Using an aqueous extract of the marine red seaweed Jania rubens, we created a unique biosynthetic technique in this study to manufacture ZnNPs.
