Background: Hand dermatitis is a well-established occupational risk in nursing staff.
Aims: To explore skin health in nursing staff and to develop resources and recommendations to promote good skincare at work.
Methods: Cross-sectional survey.
Staphylococcus aureus can cause devastating and life-threatening infections. With the increase in multidrug resistant strains, novel therapies are needed. Limited success with active and passive immunization strategies have been attributed to S.

In response, the Royal College of Nursing issued guidelines on glove use and the prevention of contact dermatitis in nursing (RCN, 2012). These involved close collaboration between the professional and trade union parts of the RCN because failure to prevent and manage skin problems affects the safety of both staff and patients.

MMP2 and MT1-MMP were detected in the majority of thyroid cancer tissues and colocalized with RLN2-positive cells. MMP2 was mostly absent in goiter tissues and, similar to RLN2, may serve as a marker for thyroid cancer.

We report the growth of Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells producing either recombinant human beta-interferon (β-IFN) or recombinant human tissue-plasminogen activator (t-PA) in suspension or embedded in macroporous microcarriers (Cytopore 1 or 2). The microcarriers enhanced the volumetric production of both β-IFN and t-PA by up to 2.
