As the healthcare burden caused by an increasingly aging population rapidly rises, a pressing need exists for innovative geroscience research that can elucidate aging mechanisms and precipitate the development of therapeutic interventions to support healthy aging. The Fifth Annual Midwest Aging Consortium Aging Research symposium, held from April 28-30, 2024, was hosted by The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and featured presentations from investigators across the Midwestern United States. This report summarizes the research presented at the symposium, whose topics included cellular senescence and the aging brain, metabolism and metabolic interventions, nutrition, redox mechanisms and biomarkers, and stress mechanisms.

The Sexual Wellness Clinic (SWC), a novel care delivery model operating in collaboration with the ED, offers comprehensive sexual health services.
Objectives: This study aims to analyze the demographics, STI positivity, and HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) uptake among patients accessing the SWC.
Adipose tissue is crucial for medical applications such as tissue reconstruction, cosmetic procedures, and correcting soft tissue deformities. Significant advances in the use of adipose tissue have been achieved through Coleman's studies in fat grafting, which gained widespread acceptance due to its effectiveness and safety. Despite its benefits, adipose tissue grafting faces several limitations, including high absorption rates due to insufficient support or anchorage, replacement by fibrous tissue, migration from the intended site, and loss of the initial desired morphology post-administration.
