The development of polymeric nanoparticles (NPs) from preformed polymers usually requires the use of organic solvents and is more expensive. Hence, in this work, the development of polymeric nanoparticles by in situ aqueous dispersion polymerization from the monomers was set as an objective. Acrylonitrile monomer based polymeric NPs comprising Lamivudine (LMV) as a model drug were prepared using the aqueous dispersion polymerization technique.

- Results indicated that 60.6% of patients had dysphagia at six months, with concurrent chemotherapy showing a significant correlation to the severity of these swallowing issues.
- Additionally, there was a notable worsening of laryngeal edema and voice quality, including decreased vocal frequency and increased roughness, post-treatment.
Allopurinol is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor used in management of chronic gout. It acts by reducing the amount of uric acid by inhibiting purine metabolism. A middle-aged hypertensive female who was on allopurinol for 7 months presented with generalized weakness and exertional dyspnea.
