Multi-resource allocation and care sequence assignment in patient management: a stochastic programming approach.

To mitigate outpatient care delivery inefficiencies induced by resource shortages and demand heterogeneity, this paper focuses on the problem of allocating and sequencing multiple medical resources so that patients scheduled for clinical care can experience efficient and coordinated care with minimum total waiting time. We leverage highly granular location data on people and medical resources collected via Real-Time Location System technologies to identify dominant patient care pathways. A novel two-stage Stochastic Mixed Integer Linear Programming model is proposed to determine the optimal patient sequence based on the available resources according to the care pathways that minimize patients' expected total waiting time.

An "On Demand" canakinumab regimen for treating children with Colchicine-Resistant familial Mediterranean fever - A multicentre study.

Objectives: Canakinumab, a human monoclonal antibody targeted at interleukin-1 beta, has demonstrated safety and efficacy in preventing familial Mediterranean fever (FMF) attacks among individuals with colchicine-resistant (crFMF). The manufacturer orders prescribe monthly subcutaneous injections. However, a subset of our patients is treated with an "canakinumab on demand " (COD) strategy, with wider intervals between drug administrations.

"We Try to Fix Things Quietly, and We Do Not Take Revenge": Christian Arab Teachers' Experiences Coping with Child Sexual Abuse Among Their Pupils in Israel.

Teachers are at the frontlines of the fight to identify and cope with child sexual abuse (CSA) among their pupils. Their methods of coping with CSA cases, both personally and professionally, are strongly influenced by their socio-cultural contexts and religious beliefs. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the experiences of Christian Arab teachers in Israel coping with the CSA of their pupils.

Intraoperative three-dimensional navigation for surgical treatment of osteoid osteoma in the upper extremity: A series of 19 cases.

The surgical treatment for osteoid osteoma (OO) in the upper extremity is challenging due to the difficulty in locating the lesion and the crowding of sensitive structures within the anatomy. This study aimed to describe the outcomes of navigated minimally invasive radiofrequency ablation and those of navigated mini open-intralesional curettage in treating these lesions. Nineteen consecutive patients with OO in the upper limb who underwent navigated surgery were included.
