Predicting the behavior of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is challenging using standard-of-care histopathologic examination. Indeed, pathologic RCC tumor grading, based on nuclear morphology, performs poorly in predicting outcomes of patients with International Society of Urological Pathology/World Health Organization grade 2 and 3 tumors, which account for most ccRCCs. We applied spatial point process modeling of H&E-stained images of patients with grade 2 and grade 3 ccRCCs ( = 72) to find optimum separation into two groups.

This includes changes in the use of chemicals found in consumer products, food packaging, and exposure to air pollutants. Within the Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) program, a national consortium initiated to understand the effects of environmental exposures on child health and development, our objective was to assess whether urinary concentrations of a wide range of potential endocrine-disrupting chemicals varied before and during the pandemic.

We investigated associations between two legacy PFAS (PFOA and PFOS) and infant cytokine levels measured in newborn dried bloodspots (NDBS) from a large population-based birth cohort in Upstate New York, to determine whether exposure to legacy PFAS is associated with variability in cytokine profiles in newborns. We performed adjusted mixed effects regressions for each cytokine against PFOS and PFOA followed by exploratory factor analysis (EFA) on specific cytokine subsets selected via the prior regressions.

This study evaluated initial antihypertensive drug prescription patterns in Indian healthcare settings. An observational, cross-sectional, prospective prescription registry analyzed prescriptions for 4723 newly diagnosed hypertension patients. Additionally, it investigated the extent to which physicians adhered to either European or Indian hypertension guidelines.

The use of non-selective beta antagonism in trauma patients has been established as a useful adjunct to reduce systemic inflammation. We sought to investigate whether beta-adrenergic blockade following trauma would prevent the conversion of microbiome to a "pathobiome" phenotype.
