Tissue degrading and remodelling molecules in giant cell arteritis.

Objectives: GCA is a granulomatous vasculitis affecting large vessels, leading to intimal occlusion accompanied by the accumulation of myofibroblasts. Histopathologically, GCA is characterized by destruction of the tunica media and hypertrophy of the intima with invasion of activated CD4+ T cells, macrophages and multinucleated giant cells (MNGCs). Despite these well-defined histopathological features, the molecular pathology of GCA has largely remained elusive.

In contrast, children tend to engage in information search during decision-making with less consideration for costs. This difference in behaviour is believed to be linked to the development of executive functions.

Immersive Robot Teleoperation Based on User Gestures in Mixed Reality Space.

Recently, research has been conducted on mixed reality (MR), which provides immersive visualization and interaction experiences, and on mapping human motions directly onto a robot in a mixed reality (MR) space to achieve a high level of immersion. However, even though the robot is mapped onto the MR space, their surrounding environment is often not mapped sufficiently; this makes it difficult to comfortably perform tasks that require precise manipulation of the objects that are difficult to see from the human perspective. Therefore, we propose a system that allows users to operate a robot in real space by mapping the task environment around the robot on the MR space and performing operations within the MR space.

Coexistence of ovarian cancer and peritoneal tuberculosis: a case report.

Peritoneal tuberculosis (TB) is known to mimic advanced ovarian cancer. In this case report, we describe a unique case of ovarian cancer (endometrioid carcinoma grade 3) at the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) stage IC1 with pulmonary and peritoneal TB, which was suspected preoperatively to be a coexistence of advanced ovarian cancer and pulmonary TB. A 68-year-old woman presented with a prominent abdominal mass and fever.
