[Evaluating occupational conditions of communication operators as professional users of videodisplay terminals].

The article present analysis of data concerning hygienic evaluation of telephone and communication operators in "Kazakhtelekom" corporation of Karaganda, who use vidiodisplay terminals in occupational activities. Complex of occupational hazards revealed--discomfortable microclimate, inadequate illumination, higher levels of noise and electromagnetic rays--determines occupational health risk for videodisplay terminal users. The authors specified and implemented measures on preserving performance and health (change of videodisplay terminal, increase of workplace square, occupational exercises).

[On cognitive functions dynamics during operator activities].

The authors analysed influence of sensory emotional exertion on higher psychic functions during operator activities, in accordance with age and length of service, occupationally specific features.

[Irregular heart rate correction among miners with early signs of pulmonary diseases by the method of alternative biocontrol of the heart contraction frequency].

The study covered 45 miners having anthracosilicosis and dust bronchitis. The registered signs were lower spectral intensity of high-frequency waves (oscillations period 3 to 36 s) and higher spectral intensity of low-frequency waves (oscillations period 36 s), asymmetry of blood pressure, higher systolic and diastolic BP before stress period of adaptation. Adequate therapy associated with biologic regulation of cardiac rhythm restores normal regulation.
