The long-term adverse event risks associated with oral Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors compared to broader immunomodulators are poorly understood, with limited comparative studies available. This study aims to assess the long-term adverse event risks of oral JAK inhibitors compared to broader immunomodulators in dermatology. A PubMed search included terms such as specific drug names and "adverse events," "long-term safety," "malignancy," "cardiovascular events," and/or "infections.

Three months post-initiation, he developed symmetric recurrent nodules and boils in intertriginous areas, diagnosed as stage II hidradenitis suppurativa of the groin and gluteal cleft. The progressive course, lesion symmetry and location, worsening with nivolumab infusions, and biopsy findings supported the diagnosis.

These congenital anomalies represent an error in vascular development during embryogenesis. Most of the CMs occur without any syndromic findings; the association between CMs systemic anomalies in some patients, however, makes the recognition of additional syndrome features critical.

In the Phase 1 first-in-man dose escalation clinical trial, where RRx-001 was given by direct intravenous (IV) infusion, the main adverse event was a sterile painful infusion phlebitis (IP). Less pain was experienced when RRx-001 was infused at a slower rate over multiple hours which was impractical on an outpatient basis.
