Background: Induced sputum (IS) is a sampling technique for obtaining lower airway samples for microbial investigations, including GeneXpert and culture for microbiological confirmation of .
Objectives: To investigate the safety and yield of IS in children admitted to a tertiary hospital in Ghana with presumed pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB).
Methods: A prospective cross-sectional study was carried out in children aged 3 months - 14 years at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, Ghana, over the 6-month period January - June 2022.
Introduction: Ghana is working towards achieving the 95-95-95 targets for its HIV response. One challenge has been low linkage to care rates, possibly due to high rates of retesting among people living with HIV who are already aware of their status. This leads to an overestimation of the first 95 and a subsequent underestimation of the second 95.

Heparin is commonly used but specific recommendations on intensity and timing are lacking. We sought to characterize practice-pattern variation in the use of unfractionated heparin (UFH) for acute CVT treatment across multiple centers.

Although several studies have explored the quality of care in prisons, there is a dearth of empirical evidence on the perspectives of incarcerated individuals. This study investigated incarcerated individuals' perspectives and opinions on the general healthcare services in Ghanaian prisons.

While synthesis methods have mostly relied on the exfoliation of bulk materials or direct growth on substrates, here we report an alternative approach involving colloidal hot-injection synthesis of 2D WS in 2H and 1T' crystal phases followed by their electrophoretic deposition (EPD) on the current collector. The produced 2D WS NSs' films do not require any additional additives during deposition, which boosts the energy density of the additive-free LIBs produced.
