Objectives: To investigate differences in symptoms, allergy comorbidities, and eosinophilic inflammation at the time of diagnosis for patients with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) based on gender, race, and age of onset.

Methods: A retrospective study was conducted at a multidisciplinary EoE clinic; the correlation between histological findings, previously identified symptoms, associated comorbidities, and demographics including gender, race, as well as age of onset was examined. In 2022, Houston, TX became a nexus for field campaigns aiming to further our understanding of the feedbacks between convective clouds, aerosols and atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) properties. Houston's proximity to the Gulf of Mexico and Galveston Bay motivated the collection of spatially distributed observations to disentangle coastal and urban processes. This paper presents a value-added ABL dataset derived from observations collected by eight research teams over 46 days between 2 June - 18 September 2022.

Extremely low-birthweight (ELBW) infants are at increased risk for infection because the innate immune function of their skin is underdeveloped as they lack a competent epidermal barrier. Thus, neonatal clinicians need to pay careful attention to skin care practices, particularly for periviable infants. In this review, we describe the challenges of skin care in ELBW infants and summarize strategies to prevent skin injury, minimize damage when it occurs, and enhance cutaneous innate immunity.
