Background: Persistent postsurgical pain (PPSP) following thoracic surgery affects 40%-60% of patients undergoing lung resection due to malignancies. Postoperative pain-related symptoms are common, leading to limitations in activities of daily living (ADL) and deterioration in physical function, which significantly impacts quality of life. Pain-related limitations are of interest, as postsurgical pain may present as a target for intervention to improve postoperative rehabilitation.

Background And Purpose: Patients with external fixators are at risk of pin-site infection. A tool for objective monitoring of pin sites for evolving signs of infection is warranted. We aimed to investigate the temperature (MaxTp) difference between clean and visually inflamed pin sites using thermography and to establish the optimal cut-off value of MaxTp using thermography as a screening tool for inflammation detection.

Patients with rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, or axial spondyloarthritis on stable TNFi dose and in low disease activity ≥ 12 months were randomised (2:1) to disease activity-guided tapering or control. Blood samples at baseline, 12- and 18-months were evaluated for TNFi drug-levels and ADAb.

Method: This nationwide population-based cohort study was based on data from Danish healthcare and clinical quality registries between 2000 and 2018. Information on anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide and immunoglobulin M rheumatoid factor was obtained, and definitions of seropositivity according to the number of applied data sources were prespecified.
