Unified Analysis of Viscoelasticity and Viscoplasticity Using the Onsager Variational Principle.

This study is the application of the Onsager variational principle to viscoelasticity and viscoplasticity with the minimization of the assumptions which are popularly used in conventional approaches. The conventional approaches assume Kröner-Lee decomposition, incompressible plastic deformation, flowing rule, stress equation and so on. These assumptions have been accumulated by many researchers for a long time and have shown many successful cases.

Successful treatment of chronic migraine unresponsive to triptans with herbal medicines containing Cinnamomi Cortex: A case report.

Background: Migraine is a neurological disorder characterized by severe, unilateral, pulsating headaches with visual, olfactory, and auditory hypersensitivity, as well as autonomic symptoms. Currently, triptans are the standard treatment, but they often fail to relieve symptoms. Herbal medicines are alternative treatments to overcome these limitations.

Attractor Landscape Analysis Reveals a Reversion Switch in the Transition of Colorectal Tumorigenesis.

A cell fate change such as tumorigenesis incurs critical transition. It remains a longstanding challenge whether the underlying mechanism can be unraveled and a molecular switch that can reverse such transition is found. Here a systems framework, REVERT, is presented with which can reconstruct the core molecular regulatory network model and a reversion switch based on single-cell transcriptome data over the transition process is identified.

Long-term tracking of neural and oligodendroglial development in large-scale human cerebral organoids by noninvasive volumetric imaging.

Human cerebral organoids serve as a quintessential model for deciphering the complexities of brain development in a three-dimensional milieu. However, imaging these organoids, particularly when they exceed several millimeters in size, has been curtailed by the technical impediments such as phototoxicity, slow imaging speeds, and inadequate resolution and imaging depth. Addressing these pivotal challenges, our study has pioneered a high-speed scanning microscope, synergistically coupled with advanced computational image processing.

Three new species of the family Idyanthidae (Copepoda, Harpacticoida) from sublittoral zones around the Korean Peninsula.

There are few taxonomic studies of the harpacticoid family Idyanthidae Lang, 1944 in the Pacific Ocean. As a first report of the family in this region, one species of the monotypic genus Lang, 1948 and two species of the genus Sars, 1905 are described from sublittoral habitats around the Korean Peninsula. sp.
