Background: Parenteral nutrition (PN) provides nutrition to patients who cannot use the digestive tract. Some patients experience delayed appetite recovery after PN, but the factors contributing to this remain unclear. This study aimed to investigate whether hospitalized patients receiving PN experience reduced hunger or appetite.

In this study, we analyzed the effects of including açaí kernel, in the experimental diets fed to horses on the intake and digestibility of their nutrient and the resultant effects on the behavior of horses. The experiments were conducted in Federal Rural University of Amazonia. Five mares with no defined breeds, were allocated to five treatments (the replacement of Mombaça grass (Megathyrsus maximus) with crushed açaí kernel at 0, 18.

Anisotropic piezoresistive response of 3D-printed pressure sensor based on ABS/MWCNT nanocomposite.

Nanocomposites based on carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are suitable for sensors, due to matrix ability to incorporate nanotube properties. Thus, we developed a low-cost, nanostructured poly(acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) (ABS) polymer piezoresistive sensor produced by additive manufacturing. For this, solution layers of acetone, dimethylformamide and CNTs functionalized with carboxylic acid were pulverized on an ABS substrate using an aerograph.

Phase-transition of hydrophobic dipeptide l-phenylalanyl-l-alanine under high pressure via Raman spectroscopy.

The study conducted on l-Phenylalanyl-l-Alanine (CHNO) dehydrated crystals under high-pressure conditions up to 7.0 GPa using Raman spectroscopy revealed significant modifications in both lattice and internal modes. Particularly, alterations were observed in modes associated with carbonyl and NH functionalities around 1600 cm.
