Interventions for substance use disorders (SUDs) are typically delivered face-to-face or remotely via telehealth. In recent years, there has been a rapid rise in the number of SUD services delivered using telehealth. However, the literature on which mode of service delivery SUD patients and providers prefer is still emerging, particularly with respect to family-based interventions in Opioid Treatment Programs (OTPs).

Sharing stories of lived experiences is an effective approach to reducing various forms of stigma; however, it is unclear whether stories shared by SGM living with mental illness (SGM MI) can reduce MI- and SGM-related stigma.
Methods: Using a randomized controlled trial design, participants watched digital stories of self-identified SGM individuals living with a mental illness, non-SGM individuals living with mental illness, or a control condition (TedTalks on environmental issues and growing up in China) to examine the use of representative digital stories in addressing SGM- and MI-related stigma.
Nanostructured niobium-titanium carbonitrides, (Nb,Ti)CN, with the cubic-rock salt structure are prepared without the use of reactive gases via thermal treatment (700-1200 °C) under nitrogen of mixtures of guanidine carbonate and ammonium niobate (V) oxalate hydrate, with addition of ammonium titanyl oxalate monohydrate as a titanium source. The bulk structure and chemical composition of the materials are characterized using powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and powder neutron diffraction, elemental homogeneity is studied using energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) mapping using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and surface chemical analysis is examined using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Nanoscale crystallites of between 10 and 50 nm are observed by TEM, where EDS reveals the homogeneity of metal distribution for the mixed-metal materials.

Objective: To describe the drug poisonings seen in the ED of a large academic urban hospital.
Methods: This retrospective descriptive study used 3 years of data (2018-2020) abstracted from the hospital's electronic medical record system and linked to validated, coded extracts from the Canadian Institute for Health Information Discharge Abstract Database.

Recent data show that African Americans (AAs) experienced a greater increase in overdose deaths involving prescription opioids relative to other racial/ethnic groups. One possible mechanism through which elevated risk for overdose is conferred to AAs could be due to greater exposure to contaminated counterfeit pills. Unfortunately, prescription opioid diversion is understudied among AAs and less is known regarding which sources AAs use to access pharmaceutical opioids.
