Background: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) represents a significant worldwide health challenge, with far-reaching implications for both patients and healthcare systems. This study aimed to identify the incidence of CKD at stages 3-5, analyzed the impact of statin and other antihyperglycemic interventions, on the CKD progression in individuals with T2DM.

Methods: This was a single-center retrospective cohort study based on data derived from electronic medical records (EMR) of UAE populations with diabetes mellitus, registered at outpatient clinics at Tawam Hospital in Al Ain, UAE, between January 2011 and December 2021.

The aquatic ecosystem is negatively impacted by organic dye contamination, which is now one of the factors leading to environmental pollution. The present investigation involved the synthesis of nanocellulose (NC) and nanocellulose modified with NiO (NC/NiO) composite using acid hydrolysis and a one-step precipitation technique for NC and NiO, respectively. Malachite green (MG) dye was catalytically removed from an aqueous solution using the two products, which were mechanically homogenized.

Background: Norfloxacin (NFX) is a wide-spectrum antibacterial agent that suffers from low water solubility and first-pass metabolism. This diminishes its oral bioavailability by 60-70%.

Objective: This work aims to formulate a topical gel of NFX-loaded lipid polymer hybrid nanoparticles (NFX-LPHNPs) that combine the merits of liposomes and polymeric nanoparticles to overcome these problems.

Introduction: Aberrant vascular function and cancer growth are closely related, with nitric oxide (NO) being a key factor in vascular tone regulation. This study provides Novel insights into the distinctive mechanisms underlying cancer-associated vascular dysfunction by investigating the involvement of potassium (K) channels in NO-mediated vasorelaxation within arteries supplying colon cancer.

Methods: Arterial segments from colon cancer patients were isolated and sectioned into rings, these rings were mounted in an organ bath filled with Krebs' solution and maintained at 37°C.
