- HTC treatment significantly reduced the H/C and O/C ratios, with the highest calorific value reaching 5.9 MJ/kg, suggesting improved energy content and peat-like properties of the hydrochar.
- Optimal conditions for energy recovery were found at 240 °C for 3 hours, achieving 82.44% efficiency, while the process water showed high levels of volatile fatty acids and nutrients, indicating potential for both energy recovery and enhanced nutrient recycling.
