Emergency hyperbaric oxygen treatment capability is limited in the United States, and there is little documentation of calls received by centers available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Our study aimed to calculate the number of calls received for urgent hyperbaric oxygen (HBO). We logged calls from two HBO chambers on the East Coast of the United States that serve a densely populated region in 2021.

Materials And Methods: We analyzed prospectively collected data from the Multicenter Registry for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Consortium accumulated within a week of beginning and ending HBO. Measures included the modified Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) Hematuria Scale, Urinary Distress Inventory Short Form, and EuroQol Five Dimension Five Level instrument.
Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO2) therapy as a treatment for central retinal artery occlusion (CRAO).
Methods: A total of 38 patients who underwent HBO2 for non-arteritic CRAO were identified. Patients with arteritic CRAO, branch retinal artery occlusion, ophthalmic artery occlusion, and other diagnoses were excluded from the analysis.
