Introduction Salt is an essential component of the Indian diet. Edible salt contains fluoride, and its concentration varies depending on the source and manufacturing process. This study aimed to assess the fluoride concentration of commonly available varieties of edible salts in India.

Among them, isotopes shielded from the r-process contribution by their stable isobars are defined as s-only nuclei. For a long time the abundance of ^{204}Pb, the heaviest s-only isotope, has been a topic of debate because state-of-the-art stellar models appeared to systematically underestimate its solar abundance.

To explore this attribute towards beneficial photophysical properties, three novel bipolar acceptor-donor-acceptor (A-D-A) molecules with triphenyl triazine end capping along with substitution ortho to the Tröger's base (TB) scaffold varying from H, Me, and F were explored. The installation of H/Me/F imparted an electron push-pull effect with concomitant maneuvering of photophysical properties.

This audit was conducted to study the impact of the pandemic on diagnosis and treatment of newly diagnosed breast cancer patients at a tertiary cancer center in South India. A total of 1,647 patients who registered at Regional Cancer Centre (RCC), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India for breast cancer during the period April 1, 2020, to September 30, 2020 (COVID-19 period) as well as April 1, 2019, to September 30, 2019 (pre-COVID-19 period) were included in the study.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAssessing and mapping flood risks are fundamental tools that significantly contribute to the enhancement of flood management strategies. Identifying areas that are susceptible to floods and devising strategies to reduce the risk of waterlogging is of utmost importance. In the present study, an integrated approach, combining advanced remote sensing technologies, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and analytic hierarchy process (AHP), was adopted in the Patan district of Gujarat, India, with a coastline spanning over 1600 km, to evaluate the numerous variables that contribute to the risk of flooding and waterlogging.
