Growing old before growing rich: a scoping review on ageing-related policy interventions from the WHO Southeast Asian Region.

Background: WHO Southeast Asian Region (WHO SEARO) is home to 1.94 billion people accounting for one-fourth of the global population.

Objective: The primary objective of this scoping review is to describe the various policy interventions implemented in countries of the WHO SEARO to address the consequences of ageing.

Production performance, serum lipid profile and gut health in Indian native Kadaknath chickens fed diet incorporated with liquorice root powder.

The principal constituent of liquorice root () is glycyrrhizin, a triterpene saponin that is approximately many times sweeter than sucrose, the main active component. This study aimed to investigate the dietary liquorice root powder (LRP) on production performance, serum biochemical, gut health and carcass characteristics of Kadaknath (KN) birds as replacement of antibiotic growth promoter. Day-old Kadaknath chicks (n = 240) with uniform body weight were selected randomly and divided into six different treatments, each one with five replicates and eight birds per replicate, and raised in battery brooder cages for 15 weeks.

Concern about radiation exposure to non-human biota and the environment has increased since the 1990s, resulting in several publications by UNSCEAR, IAEA, ICRP, among other agencies, which highlighted significant gaps in knowledge regarding non-human biota and resulted in the establishment of Reference Animals and Plants (RAPs). In Brazil, the Atlantic Forest biome has vast biodiversity, but there is a lack of information on the radiometric profile of plant species growing there. Thus, the objective of this study was to evaluate the radiometric profile of Ouratea miersii (Malpighiales), endemic to the Atlantic Rainforest, collected in the State of Rio de Janeiro, city of Niterói, at the Municipal Natural Park (PARNIT), which covers a region of protected Atlantic Rainforest.
