Article Synopsis
  • The study explores the differences in reactivity between Brazilian (Green) propolis and Chinese (poplar-type) propolis in patch tests involving 1290 patients.
  • Results indicated that 23.5% of patients reacted positively to the Brazilian propolis, but many reactions lacked clear clinical significance.
  • Findings suggested that the high rate of positive reactions to the Brazilian propolis may be attributed more to bacterial contamination or impurities rather than the actual components of the propolis itself.

Data regarding the quality of existing PROMs for ARS are limited.
