Background: Ventricular tachycardia is an irregular heartbeat conventionally treated using invasive cardiac catheter ablation and medication. However, when standard treatments have been exhausted, cardiac SABR provides a final treatment option to this high-mortality condition. Complex diagnostic mapping and planning scans enable multi-disciplinary target delineation for a 25Gy single fraction.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFIntroduction: In response to advice from The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence to reduce hospital visits during COVID-19, standard headrests were introduced for head and neck radiotherapy within Northern Centre for Cancer Care (NCCC). The standard headrest requires one mould room appointment compared to 3 appointments with customised headrests.
Methods: Two groups of 10 patients treated between December 2019 and June 2020 were retrospectively analysed by 1 observer.
Objectives: Treatment verification for MR-only planning has focused on fiducial marker matching, however, these are difficult to identify on MR. An alternative is using the MRI for soft-tissue matching with cone beam computed tomography images (MR-CBCT). However, therapeutic radiographers have limited experience of MRI.
