A novel zinc transporter has been purified and cloned from rat renal brush border membrane. This transporter was designated as Zip10 encoded by Slc39a10 gene and characterized as zinc importer. Present study documents the impact of thyroid hormones on the expression of Zip10 encoded by Slc39a10 gene in rat model of hypo and hyperthyroidism.

Myocardial function depends on adenosine triphosphate (ATP) supplied by oxidation of several substrates. In the adult heart, this energy is obtained primarily from fatty acid oxidation through oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS).

These synthetic constructs were tested for their humoral and cellular immune responses in five inbred strains of mice with different genetic backgrounds (H-2a, H-2b, H-2d, H-2k and H-2i). Mice immunized with these constructs showed higher antibody titres, secondary immune responses and antigen-induced T-cell proliferation compared with the peptide dimers alone.
