Transition metals are renowned for their effective catalytic properties. Incorporating transition metals into halide perovskite derivatives is a key strategy for tuning the properties of perovskites to enhance their photocatalytic performance. Understanding the d-orbital occupancy and spin activity of these transition metals in the CO photoreduction process is essential for fully realizing the photocatalytic potential of these materials.

Primary cilia have been considered tumor-suppressing organelles in cholangiocarcinoma (CCA), though the mechanisms behind their protective role are not fully understood. This study investigates how the loss of primary cilia affects DNA damage response (DDR) and DNA repair processes in CCA. Human cholangiocyte cell lines were used to examine the colocalization of DNA repair proteins at the cilia and assess the impact of experimental deciliation on DNA repair pathways.

Background: Dendrobium amoenum is known for its aesthetic and medicinal values but it is threatened due to loss of wild resources. Plant tissue culture promotes wild resource protection and paves the way for secondary metabolite production. In this study, protocorms developed via in-vitro seed cultivation were used for bioactive secondary metabolite production.

HBV has a small genome and thrives in the infected hepatocytes by hijacking the cellular machinery and cellular pathways. HBV induces incomplete autophagy for its replication and survival. This study showed that HBV replication induces Reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, which in turn augments the formation of autophagosomes.
