[Evaluation of occupational risk for workers producing polyvinyl chloride resin pipes, profiles and fixtures].

Studies are performed on work and hygienic conditions in the production of pipes, profiles and fittings from polyvinylchloride resin, in relation to the toxic factor. Concentrations above TLV are established for vinylchloride, vinylchloride resin dust, phthalates and lead aerosols. Complex clinico-laboratory examinations are carried out on 133 workers, as special attention is paid to the nervous system, liver function, cardio-vascular system and the skeleton system.

[The occupational risk in the manufacture of mineral pigments and iron oxide dyes].

The mineral pigments and ferric oxide dyes are used on a large scale in the paint and varnish industry, in building, chemical industry, polygraphy etc. For their production as basic raw materials are used lead, chromium and iron compounds. The concentrations of the toxic and accummulating lead and chromium in the air of the work environment surpass MAC and create most frequently "especially unfavourable" conditions of work.

[Neurovegetative reactivity among female workers systematically locally exposed to cold and overexertion].

Workers from different occupations associated with cooling of the upper extremities are exposed to chronic local cold effect in their daily work. The objects of the present study were 45 females, engaged in packing of cooled fruits and vegetables, stored in freezing chambers. The following methods were used aiming at the studies on the neurovegetative reactivity and the task proceeding from it in objectivization of the neurovegetative disturbances of the upper extremities: directed neurologic and autonomic anamnesis, routine neurological state, clinical-functional autonomic tests and methods.

[17-ketosteroids in the 24-hour urine of miners with vibration disease from local vibration exposure].

The 17-ketosteroid level in the urine secreted in 24 hours s studied in miners with vibration disease. The case material is analyzed according to age, working service, clinical syndromes and stage. It is demonstrated that the continuous effect of local vibrations lead to inhibition of the adrenal function, manifested by a 17-ketosteroids fall.
