Eltrombopag for Treatment of Thrombocytopenia After Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation in Children: Single Center Experience.

Introduction: Thrombocytopenia is a common clinical problem in cancer patients undergoing high-dose chemotherapy and autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). It can occur as prolonged isolated thrombocytopenia (PIT) or secondary failure of platelet recovery (SFPR) and may cause potentially fatal bleeding. However, data on the treatment of post-transplant thrombocytopenia is still lacking.

Evaluation of gene-gene interaction between the interleukin (IL)-2 and IL-2RA gene polymorphisms in schizophrenia patients in the Turkish Population.

Objectives: To evaluate the genetic polymorphisms in and genes in schizophrenia (SCZ) patients by comparing them with healthy controls.

Methods: A sample of 127 patients with SCZ and 100 healthy volunteers were included in the case-control study. These individuals were consecutively selected from the Malazgirt State Hospital Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic in Mus, Turkey, over the three months from October 2020 to December 2020.

The association of HLA-DRB1 alleles and MBL2 gene variant in pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemia patients.

Introduction: Epidemiologic studies on pediatric acute lymphoblastic leukemias (ALL) have been conducted to evaluate the possible risk factors including genetic, infectious and environmental factors with the objective of idenfying the etiology. Mannose-binding lectin 2 (MBL2) plays an important role in first-line immune defense. HLA DRB1 alleles play a role in presentation of peptides to T cells and in activation of the adaptive immune response.

Clinical, Genetic, and Outcome Characteristics of Pediatric Patients with Primary Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis.

Objective: In this study, we sought to describe the clinical, laboratory, and genetic character- istics of patients diagnosed with primary hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis. Thus, we aimed to evaluate the early diagnosis and appropriate treatment options for pediatric hemophago- cytic lymphohistiocytosis patients.

Materials And Methods: Medical records of 9 patients diagnosed with primary hemophago- cytic lymphohistiocytosis between November 2013 and December 2019 were analyzed retro- spectively.

Chronic Neutropenia in Childhood: Laboratory and Clinical Features.

Objectives: To describe the clinical characteristics of patients with chronic neutropenia.

Methods: Data of 36 patients with chronic neutropenia, who were followed up in the authors' clinic between May 2013 and May 2020, were analyzed retrospectively. Patients were diagnosed based on their clinical and laboratory characteristics.
